The Brief

As an existing TJS customer for the past 10 years, we have worked closely to understand this business and market place. In a world of disposable goods, customers have learned to value quality and want to repair a tool rather than discard it and buy another.

The customer wanted to broaden the product range and have closer ties with manufacturers. A strong in-house IT team also wanted closer integration with the web channel. The existing site had served the client well but was in need of a good shake up.

Our Solution

Ultimately, the site would only work if all distractions were stripped away and the visitor was given a simple and clean route through to purchase. We employed up-to-date interaction techniques, but only where they added value and not just because we could.

The back end of the site is far more powerful so it can cope with new territories, manufacturers, price and part updates, where possible using direct XML feeds.
