Name Badges International
Background
With a world of experience in the manufacture of garment decoration to the laundry and work wear markets J&A International Ltd. saw an opportunity to apply their experience and excellent customer service to the production of high quality name badges.
Requirements
Our brief was to provide SMEs in the UK and Europe with the necessary online tools to design their own badges. Having developed one of the most successful online Flash based, web to print, design interfaces with our existing customer www.stickylabels.com we were confident that we could develop a similar tool for Name Badges International.
Solution
For the badge design engine, we worked with the client to identify the necessary functions to achieve the most professional looking badge designs. After some valuable usability testing, we found a balance of simplicity and rich features that left us with high conversion rates. We chose Flash over a JavaScript based solution as we have had huge success building a similar interactive web-2-print solution for another client. Flash provides us with the greatest flexibility and browser compatibility.
We were also tasked with providing a sophisticated account management suite that allowed customers to re-order badges from pre-defined badge templates. This also included a multiple address directory which allowed central administrators to order and despatch to multiple branches.
Further phases will allow for orders to be seamlessly integrated in to JFile. J&A’s FileMaker back office production software. Other territories and affiliate partnerships will also evolve once the site is honed in the forth coming months.
