Award winning pub restaurant
Background
The Bustard Inn is a beautiful Grade II listed stone building which dates back to 1860. It sits in the lovely peaceful Lincolnshire village of South Rauceby between Sleaford and Ancaster. It was purchased in 2006 by residents of the village, Alan & Liz Hewitt, who carried out major renovations and an extension to the property. This was sympathetically managed in order to emphasise many of the striking features of this magnificent building including restoration of the courtyard, the brew house and the stable, which make up part of the dining area, as well as the ornate oriole window looking onto the beer garden.
It was the vision of the current owners to establish a much needed facility in the area providing , firstly, an elegant but relaxed and informal restaurant serving delicious, freshly prepared food and, secondly, a public house serving the perfect pint of real ales and keg beers as well as excellent wines to suit all tastes. The aim of this family run business is to provide character, comfort and refinement in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Requirements
Alan and Liz approached TJS to build a site that best reflected their culinary ambitions. With the high standards they demanded of their own business TJS was the logical choice to help deliver this clean-cut site.
