How our client made it to Clarkson’s Farm

When you think of luxury toilet hire, Jeremy Clarkson might not be the first person who springs to mind. But thanks to our client, Wight Event Toilets (WET Hire), based in Bath, that’s exactly what happened. 

When Clarkson announced he was launching The Diddly Squat Farm shop and posted the opening on his socials, it was hardly surprising when thousands of people turned up! The challenge for Clarkson’s team was to provide enough toilet facilities for the high volume of visitors that descended on the farm. And that’s where WET Hire was able to help. Clearly seen in the hit show Clarkson’s Farm, the company’s portable toilet trailers were delivered and installed (once Kaleb had helped by jumping onto Lisa’s red tractor and cut the grass for them). With queues for the shop of up to 5 hours, the toilet units definitely provided some comfort for the fans. 

Installing the toilet units proved to be quite challenging as the Farm Shop is situated in a field, which hastily became a car park. This swiftly turned the car park into a very muddy location, akin to the more severe festival conditions one typically sees from soggy Glastonbury highlights. The WET Hire team therefore was on a constant mission to maintain the high standards associated with their more luxurious event toilets.

But, while the spotlight was on the loos, at TJS, we were quietly proud behind the scenes—because we have had a hand in building upon this success.
