Internal Drainage Board – New Site

Internal Drainage Board – New Site

Internal Drainage Boards (IDBs) are locally operated, public bodies responsible for managing water levels across the country. Fully accountable to the public, IDBs require easy to navigate websites which allow their documentation and annual returns to be published clearly and easily.

Our initial site for the Welland and Deepings IDB was swiftly followed, via recommendation, by the Witham Fourth District IDB and Swale and Ure.

We are happy to announce that we have now been asked to develop the new website for the Bedford Group of Internal Drainage Boards. The group is made up of three separate IDBs, operating in Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire and also including the Unitary Authority of Milton Keynes and other adjoining counties.  The work of the Bedford Group is extensive and in addition to the maintenance of a network of 1147km of watercourses, its environmental and wildlife conservation policies strive to protect habitats and species and improve the aquatic environment. It has also been involved with the development of a Biological Records Database for Bedfordshire.

We are excited to be working with the Bedford Group and will be unveiling their new website very soon.
