The British Hamper Company - staying ahead during the 2020 pandemic

In October this year, the British Retail Consortium (BRC) launched an advertising campaign on national and local radio stations and in national print and social media. The aim of the campaign was to encourage consumers to start their Christmas shopping early, to prevent a last-minute rush that could potentially damage the supply chain and compromise the health and safety of warehouse staff and delivery drivers.

For The British Hamper Company, specialising in the delivery of luxury hampers to over 50 countries worldwide, Christmas is traditionally peak trading season. However, with the unparalleled, ongoing situation this year, and people in lockdown turning increasingly to purchasing online, the company had already experienced an unprecedented number of orders much earlier in the year than usual.

Mindful of the need to fulfill the company’s orders in terms of supply and demand, TJS has been working with The British Hamper Company to further develop its’ back office forecasting capability. This has resulted in The British Hamper Company now being in the best possible position to understand and react to ever-changing order levels.
