Working with Internal Drainage Boards

Working with Internal Drainage Boards

It was with great pride that TJS was approached by the Welland and Deepings IDB when they wanted a new website, https://www.wellandidb.org.uk/ An Internal Drainage Board, or IDB, is an independent statutory public body that manages water levels and is locally operated. Here in Lincolnshire we have a long history of flooding and, as an area of special drainage need, there are several IDBs in the Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Yorkshire regions. As IDBs are fully accountable and have an obligation to demonstrate publicly and transparently that they are well governed, that they represent the local communities they serve and that they offer value for money, our brief was to design a clean, easy to navigate site that would allow the board to publish its documentation and annual returns. The executives of Welland and Deeping were happy to recommend our services to a neighbouring IDB, the Witham Fourth District and we in turn were happy to assist them with their new site, https://www.w4idb.co.uk/ As a result of these two successful projects, TJS is now about to launch the third site in our collaboration with IDBs, Swale and Ure. We look forward to a long and productive collaboration with all of these clients and to helping other Internal Drainage Boards in the future.
