Auction Estates was launched in 2016 and very soon found themselves as a leading property auction house, successfully holding their own against established companies in the industry. With several initial live auctions scheduled in their first year of trading, Auction Estates needed software to support the team throughout the auction process.
Background
The Brief
In order for Auction Estates to take the lead over their much larger competitors, they needed TJS to develop fully integrated property auction room software. Incorporating all the key elements of a live auction, the integration would make each step of the auction process as smooth as possible for staff.
Our Solution
TJS developed a dashboard for the auction day itself, enabling Auction Estates staff to seamlessly handle all aspects of a frenetic live property auction. These screens and tools included:
- Live Lot TV presentation screen with live bidding price updates
- Auctioneer’s screen - enabling the auctioneer to see key lot details, current live bid price, reserves etc
- Auctioneer’s assistant screen - enables a member of staff to easily drive the progress of each lot, updating instantly the live bid price (which instantaneously updates the Auctioneer’s screen and TV screen) and marking each lot as sold with the successful bidders number, before moving on to the next lot at the pace dictated by the Auctioneer.
- Contract Room screen. As live auction lots are completed the details are sent through to another room for the Contracts staff to process. Seeing each lot, the hammer price and buyer number, staff are able to ensure all sales are processed efficiently throughout the live auction.
All of the above links seamlessly in with the website to ultimately pull through the final lot prices into the individual property detail pages.
TJS employed innovative programming techniques (previously only usually associated with Stock Exchange systems) to be able to send live property price data incredibly quickly between screens and locations, culminating in a seamless live auction experience.
The website and auction dashboard have been fully integrated with industry leading property management software, which ensures the Auction Estates website and property channels are up to date at all times with current property information. This integration removes duplicate data inputting and creates marked efficiencies within the business compared to their competitors, enabling Auction Estates to now compete at the very highest level.
