For holiday home and static caravan owners, privacy can be an issue with the outside areas on their pitch being at risk of exposure to both the elements and the curiosity of passers-by. Carabanners are based in the heart of the holiday region in Lincolnshire and offer an innovative new service to their customers which combines their years of experience within the signwriting and promotions industry, with the vast UK leisure industry. The service allows customers to design their own privacy banners for decked areas that are attractive, stylish and practical.
Background
The Brief
Having unsuccessfully tried an off-the-peg platform option with other web developers, Carabanners realised that the only way to meet all their design and configuration requirements was to have a bespoke design engine developed for them.
Needing a website that would allow customers to design the privacy banners to their own tastes and with visual references, the client approached TJS via recommendation, having been told of both our experience with bespoke development and our Google-friendly formula.
Our Solution
As Carabanners’ customers are able to choose from a vast selection of styles, patterns and colours when designing their banners, which can then be combined in any permutation to suit their tastes, they needed to be able to see the end product on a static caravan, prior to purchase. To satisfy this need, our developers designed and built a bespoke product configurator which gives the customer the ability to view all permutations available.
The design process has been broken down into three easy steps which allows the customer to choose a design, pick the colour of the fixings and finally, input the dimensions of the banners into a customisable dimension selector. Additionally, a sample service has also been incorporated.
