Background
Nestled in the beautiful countryside of the Lincolnshire Wolds, the Wolds Wildlife Park is home to a variety of animals. Since opening the doors to its private collection to the public in 2018, the park has expanded and gained its full zoo licence in 2019.
As the park grew and embarked on an intense programme of expansion, it quickly became apparent that their WordPress site was not up to the task the staff needed it to perform. They had been led to believe that they would be able to make content changes to the site easily, which they soon found out was not the case.
Brief
In addition to needing a site that the staff could manage themselves as the business grew, the park also needed a site that would rank well in Google search results, in line with its rapid growth plans. The site lacked a library of professional, consistently high-quality photographs, that reflected the park and the animals in all their magnificence. These images could then be used across the website, social media channels and all marketing materials.
Solution
The Wolds Wildlife Park’s new, bespoke website has a clean, fresh look and feel and is optimised for Google. With a transparent, easy to use CMS, the staff at the park can now upload content and images quickly and simply, with no trouble at all.
Understanding that it was of paramount importance to capture the animals in all their technicolour glory, our award-winning, in-house photographer spent several days immortalising the animals and their life at the park, and these images can now be seen across the website.
