Back in January the government anounced that Lincolnshire was to receive some hefty financial backing to the tune of £53m. The objectives are to reach upto 90% of Lincolnshire with superfast broadband. Speeds would be way in excess of the 8mb maximum adevertised by most ISPs, but more in the region of 20-30mb.
The roll out will obviously not be all at once, as the infrastructure required to deliver the service will be going on until 2017. The upgrade required to each exchange will happen in response to local demand.
So if you are keen to see the equipment at your exchange rolled out first, then why not sign up at www.onlincolnshire.org and register your interest in receiving the service.
